Presidents Report:

President Clark reported that there has been over 50 club events held this year since March. He stated that 2024 has been a year of experimentation with increasing the number and variety of club events. At the end of the year the Board will review and notify the club of the findings. Goal is to push events out to all parts of our club region which includes Cincinnati, Dayton and West Virginia. Outreach efforts will continue with lots of events, new faces and continuing efforts to grow the membership. With so many events this year we are working on resolving crossover/conflicting events that were scheduled at the same time- goal being better timing. The President welcomes club critiques and compliments and urges members to comment and make suggestions.

Vice President:

Vice President Nucete reported that a review of new member data reveals that 60% of the new members own a Macan, Cayenne, Boxster or Cayman, and less than 40% have a 911. We are working to balance club events to all vehicle type needs. A total of 35% of new Macan owners are women. We are making efforts to cater to women, younger members, and new groups of people through our Gemeinschaft events and Kandiss outreach efforts with other car clubs. We are growing the club event footprint to include the Dayton area, West Virginia and Northern Kentucky.

Treasurer:

Treasurer Steve Ringel reported the club is living within its means and all accounts are tracked in Quicken management software. Motion to accept made by Mike Valentine, seconded by Chuck Lindsey. Motion approved.

Secretary:

Secretary Lindsey reminded all attendees to please sign in for accurate count of attendance at our meetings. September 7th is the Taste of Harrison event in 3 closed blocks of downtown Harrison. Local eateries, live music, local crafters, food trucks and 50 car OVR PCA participation in a DORA district event. First 50 VIP registrants will receive event t-shirts and logo poker chip and catered food and drink in our OVR PCA event space. There is exclusive “Porsche only” parking available for 100 cars. Go to the OVR PCA calendar or Club Registration for more information and registration.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Autocross: Bill Kief reported that the 5/3rd Bank parking lot course is no longer available to OVR PCA. All Autocross events for the remainder of this year are cancelled. Working on possible Mason and Waldon, Kentucky location opportunities. Committee is working hard on new location.

Concours: Mark Wilson reported that 170 cars participated in the Red Brick Reunion event. This was the 10th year and cars came from Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio. This event is always looking for new sponsors. A special thank you to the Oxford Business Association. The Bellefontaine / OVR Concourse is August 24th. There will be a tour leaving from Cincinnati to the Bellefontaine events. Please go to Club Registration for more information. The Dayton Concours d’Elegance is September 15th, 2024 at Carillon Park.

Driver Education:

Jeff Woodward reported that Zone 4 is working to unify all 4 zones with 3 unified to date. At the June Spring Classic event Miata cup cars were allowed to participate. Going forward we will not be allowing entire groups into our DE events. Drivers under the age of 18 cannot participate in our DE events. We are looking into Flagtronics – a wireless in-car flagging system that projects to your dash the current track flag signals. This system would increase driver safety at our events. Cost is $250.00 per driver. The Autumn Thunder HPDE event at Mid-Ohio is in October. We have 70 registrations to date. We are looking for sponsor money and additional drivers for the event - you can register for this event at www.clubregistration.net.
